I was recently asked in the comments of one of my submissions whether I had permission from the original artist to post it. I would just like to say here, that anything you find in my gallery will have been posted after permission was granted from the original artist. I have nearly all my correspondence from my time here at dA and will most likely be able to provide a screen shot.

Anything dealing with Tealin's Azkaban Project I definitely will not since I asked her before I even knew what copyrights really were and that you should save such emails - I will have to work on e-mailing her to get proof.

I did have a few works up where I admitted not knowing who the original artist was or they had gone inactive for quite some time. The person who contacted me let me know that even admitting this or giving credit wouldn't be lawful, so I have taken down a few pieces. Basically saying, anything you now find in my gallery has had permission, any inquiries can be sent to me in NOTE please.

I had even had old B&W pictures from like over 40 years ago deleted for Copyright infringement, as well as collages I had made from existing pictures that I "didn't create". My OWN Ginny/Draco fanfiction was deleted for the same reason. I am sick of dA treating people like this, so if I get anything deleted at this point I am going to delete everything and put it all up on my photobucket. I totally understand and empathize with artists whose works were clearly stolen and posted as someone else's original art... but I am not going to stick around on this drama-filled network of people if dA treats long-time members like some attention-seeking newb.
